MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane)
Also known as: Methylsulfonylmethane, Dimethyl sulfone
A sulfur compound used for hair health. Provides the sulfur you need to build collagen and support healthy hair, skin, and nails.
What it is
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is an organic sulfur compound found in small amounts in fruits, vegetables and grains. Sulfur is a building block your body needs to make collagen and keratin.
Why we use it
We include MSM in Beauty Gummies as a sulfur source that supports the same collagen and keratin production pathways as our other beauty ingredients.
What the research generally suggests
MSM has been studied mainly for joint comfort, with some research also looking at skin and hair; results across these areas are generally positive but the evidence base, particularly for hair-specific outcomes, is still developing.
Typical amounts
Human studies have commonly used daily doses ranging from around 1g up to 3g, though beauty-focused products often use smaller amounts (100-300mg) as part of a wider formula.
In Flexies products: 200mg per serving.
