Hyaluronic Acid
Also known as: Hyaluronan, HA
Your skin's hydration hero that can hold 1000x its weight in water. Keeps skin plump, joints cushioned, and eyes comfortable.
What it is
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in your skin, joints and eyes that helps retain moisture — it can hold many times its own weight in water. Levels naturally decline with age.
Why we use it
We use it in a dedicated Hyaluronic Acid Gummies formula alongside vitamin C, since oral hyaluronic acid is one of the more studied "beauty from within" hydration ingredients as an alternative or complement to topical serums.
What the research generally suggests
A number of clinical studies suggest that oral hyaluronic acid supplementation, taken daily for around 8-12 weeks, may support skin hydration and reduce the appearance of fine dry lines, alongside its established role in joint comfort.
Typical amounts
Studies showing skin hydration benefits have commonly used daily doses of around 120-240mg, generally over 8 weeks or more before effects were measured.
In Flexies products: 250mg per serving.

Good to know
- • Considered very well tolerated as it's a substance your body already produces naturally.
- • If you have a known allergy to fermentation-derived ingredients (most hyaluronic acid supplements are produced via bacterial fermentation), check the product source.
As always, if you're unsure whether this ingredient is right for you, chat to your GP or pharmacist before adding it to your routine.
